The CT scans which scans using 64 detectors is the most
sensitive and accurate CT technology commercially available
in the world today. The vast majority of imaging centers
use the older and less accurate 4 and 16 slice CT technologies
that provide less accuracy than the new 64-slice CT scanners.

that 64-slice CT technology provides far superior imaging
capabilities to detect early cardiovascular disease.
Only
the 64-slice CT has the capability to image soft (non-calcified)
and hard (calcified) plaque in coronary arteries well before
patients suffer from heart attack or sudden cardiac death
and before a stress test becomes abnormal.
It can also identify other abnormalities including cancers in an earlier
stage when they are more likely curable. It is certainly important
that when selecting a center to provide your cardiovascular CT
scan, you do not compromise on quality and do have it performed
