Vascular imaging of the brain and the arteries that provide critical blood flow to the brain can identify obstructions that could place patients at a higher risk for stroke, the third leading cause of death in the United States.

Narrowing in blood vessels that provide blood flow to other critical organs including the kidneys in patients with severe hypertension, legs in patients with leg pain (claudication) and to the pelvic area in men who have erectile dysfunction can result in directing therapy that may lead to resolution of hypertension, erectile dysfunction and debilitating pain in patients with lower extremity arterial insufficiency and prevention of amputation. Patients who are diabetic, smokers, and hypertensive are at particular risk for disease.
