risk factors for coronary artery disease including:
Male over 40 years of age or female over 50 years
of age
Family history of coronary artery disease
Hypertension

protein (hs-CRP) levels

Patients who may be able to have a noninvasive CT coronary angiogram prior
to a conventional coronary angiogram and possibly avoid undergoing
a conventional in-hospital coronary angiogram include:
Patients with chest discomfort with an equivocal stress test result
Patients with a suspected false positive treadmill test
Patients
with previous coronary artery bypass grafts who experience
new or a change in symptoms
Patients with suspected anomalous
coronary arteries or other congenital anomalies
Patients with
cardiomyopathy to determine whether significant obstructive
coronary artery disease is present
