Hooman Madyoon, MD
Dr. Madyoon is a triple board-certified interventional
cardiologist and the co-founder of Westside Medical Imaging
and Westside Medical Associates of Los Angeles.
As a pioneer of carotid artery stenting, Dr. Madyoon serves
as one of the four investigators in California responsible
for the National Institute of Health-sponsored Carotid
Revascularization Endarterectomy versus Stenting Trial
(CREST). In addition, he has written and published more
than 30 articles in peer review medical journals, and has
performed more than 5,000 coronary and vascular interventions.

Dr. Madyoon founded the clinical research program at St. Joseph 's Medical
Center and played a pivotal role as the principal investigator in more
than 30 key multicenter clinical research trails, evaluating the progress
of coronary and peripheral angioplasty, from balloons to lasers and stents.
Dr. Madyoon graduated Magna Cum laude from Pahlavi University School
of Medicine in Shiraz, Iran . He completed his residency and
fellowship at the Henry Ford Hospital and cardiovascular center, an affiliate
of the University of Michigan.
Dr. Madyoon is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and American
College of Physicians. He is also an instructor of medicine at David Geffen
School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Madyoon has been invited to lecture on
the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and vascular disorders including
CT cardiovascular imaging and has published on these topics in important
cardiology journals.
